Greece: Mykonos Grand Hotel

We arrived at the Mykonos Grand by ATV. Not the most glamorous entrance for such an elegant and minimalist hotel but hey, we got there.

Taxis are not reliable and SUPER expensive... Uber and Lyft don't exist and we do not have our international drivers licenses so our option was really just an ATV ... I was skeptical at first but it actually ended up being one of my favorite parts of the trip. A typical taxi ride was 25 Euro and up and we rented our little atv for just 40USD per day which was tooootally worth it and ended up saving us a lot!

Would recommend it 100%- it even let us access some remote hidden beaches which were absolutely stunning.

Anyway, after our ATV was valeted... ( I love that sentence) we headed into the stunning lobby to be greeted by sparkling drinks and friendly staff who introduced us to the sprawling and beautiful property. We then headed to our suite which was nothing short of drop DEAD gorgeous.

Consisting of an entry, powder-room, living room, not one but TWO balconies with a panoramic Ocean view, bedroom with a soaking tub, and his and hers master bath with a rain shower that doubled as a steam room! We were beyond thrilled with how stunning our space was only to be even more delighted when custom refreshments were delivered to the suite with a nice note. Such an amazing touch and we even got to try local candies and sweets!

Heading down to the pool we were greeted with traditional beautiful architecture coming out onto a patio and the most beautiful infinity edge mermaid lagoon feeling pool surrounded by cabanas with linen curtains fluttering in the wind and umbrellas lining each edge.

We split our time relaxing by the perfect temperature pool, swimming in the bit chilly sea from the private beach below, and enjoying time walking the sandy shores which were a nice break from pebble beaches.

After the sun went down (we had to savor every last drop of sunshine) we headed to the hotel restaurant to be taken to absolute NIRVANA with the in house made Lobster risotto - they even peeled the lobster fresh for you right next to the table. I had NEVER in my life had this happen and I was into it. Talk about FRESH!

We are not much for "going out" so the Mykonos night life was not for us but we hear its fantastic if that is your thing! We are basically 90 years old and hit the hay which happened to be extraordinarily soft sheets in our king bed ( Chance took a soak in the bathtub and he's over six foot so you know it was a good size tub!) Catching Zzzs never felt so good!
